About Simon

Experienced thinking.
Practical delivery.

I'm Simon Norman. I help owner managed and growing businesses improve how they attract customers, turn enquiries into work and organise their operations.

Business is personal.

Alongside my consulting work, I run Private Countryside and Wayside Game Larder. They keep me close to the decisions smaller businesses face: explaining an offer, responding to customers and making the day to day work manageable.

I've spent more than 25 years working where business and technology meet. Much of that career has been in specialist consulting and senior architecture roles, brought into organisations to understand difficult problems, design practical solutions and help see them through to delivery.

That experience shapes how I work: understand the business first, keep the solution proportionate and pay attention to the detail that makes it usable.

From understanding
to implementation.

I help define the problem, design a better approach and implement the customer journey, sales pipeline, process, website, automation or practical AI tooling needed to put it into practice.

For one business, that might mean a clearer website and enquiry journey. For another, it might mean a sales pipeline, a simpler operational process or an automation that removes repetitive work.

You work directly with me to set priorities and make progress. I explain the choices in plain language so you can make informed decisions without needing to become a technology specialist.
